About
Alchemy, a Mumbai-based alternative and experimental rock band, was formed in 2016 during their college years, consisting of guitarist Yash Rajput, guitarist-vocalist Aniruddha Deshpande, bassist Nilesh Dalwani, and drummer Ankit Gangwani. The band initially gained recognition by winning various college competitions, setting the stage for their future success. The band first caught the public’s attention when they made it to the final four of the third edition of the ‘Parx Band Hunt’ in 2018. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of their journey toward creating their debut eight-track album, ‘Izhaar’.
The album is a vibrant collection of tracks characterized by scintillating guitar solos, steady grooves, and robust vocals, with a total runtime of just over 40 minutes.
‘Izhaar’ was recorded at Alchemy’s home studio in Mumbai and at the city-based Trinity Studios, with Kerala’s Vivek Thomas handling the mixing and mastering.
Alchemy continues to build on its momentum, pushing the boundaries of alternative and experimental rock with its innovative sound and compelling performances.
